Full-time Hours - Primary Duties: Floor Tech Operations (including but not limited to; floor cleaning, buffing, waxing, and maintenance)
7:00am - 3:30pm
12:30pm - 9:00pm

Part-time Hours
7:00am - 1:30pm
5:00pm - 9:00pm

The Environmental Services Technician in the General Services Department is responsible for performing custodial and manual work in the care and cleaning of City facilities. Day to day, you would be performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure City facilities are maintained and kept tidy. This will include dusting or polishing chairs, desks, tables, shelves and other furniture. You could also be vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing or buffering floors. Our Environmental Services team is responsible for collecting and disposing of trash daily, and tidying furniture as needed. Time management and the ability to develop relationships will be great skills to have in this position, as you will encounter other employees and need to manage your time while cleaning throughout the City buildings. Safety is our top priority for all employees, so you will need to have a basic knowledge of cleaning methods associated with hazardous chemicals and common cleaning equipment.

 

How much money can I make?

This role has a full salary range of $34,000.00 - $56,100.00. The targeted hiring range for this opening, based on qualifications, experience, and market considerations, is included in the job listing. What are the qualifications for this position?

This position requires one (1) year of related custodial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This role is also deemed as Essential Personnel, and you will be required to work during emergencies.

What else should I know?

You must successfully complete the required National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System Certifications within one year of employment. Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as weather, dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, machinery, vibrations, toxic agents, disease, or pathogenic substances.
