Join our team as the Director of the Library Services Department. The ideal candidate will be an engaged and visible leader who builds strong partnerships across the community and champions the library ’s role as a free, inclusive, and accessible public resource. They will be a visionary and innovative thinker - able to balance long-term strategic planning with daily operations, modernize facilities and services, and ensure the Placer County Library system remains responsive to evolving community needs.
This role requires a people-centered leader and mentor who fosters a supportive, team-oriented culture and inspires excellence in staff at all levels. The successful candidate will demonstrate financial acumen, political awareness, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex challenges with integrity, creativity, and sound judgment.
